A Path to Knowledge

  • Anthroposophy

Anthroposophy is a path to knowledge, knowledge of ourselves as well as knowledge of the world, the cosmos, and our relationship to the world and cosmos. It comprises a profound vision of what it means to be human and Steiner put forth that through the power of thinking we can now have access to the spiritual world such as previously belonged only to mystics and clairvoyant, and that this direct knowledge is the true foundation for moral freedom. We shall experience the unity of freedom and our true “I” in love, and we shall understand our creative participation in world evolution and the real meaning of ethical responsibility.

Anthroposphy is a path that begins from and always includes where we are and moves through self-knowledge of the soul and spirit to encompass the highest wisdom. Steiner recognized that all we need to do is change our frame of consciousness and experience for the entire world to change; and said that, rather than being a passive onlooker, “the human being… is the active co-creator of the world-process, and cognition (or “crystal clear thinking” as he also called it) is the most perfect link in the organism of the universe.”
