Glacier Waldorf School has begun its spring session of Sweet Peas Parent-Child Class and the class is full.

This class is for parents and their children who are not yet old enough for the mixed-age kindergarten (under 3-1/2 years). It provides a weekly mini-experience of a Waldorf kindergarten morning. Parents will work with the teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment where children are gently introduced to a rhythmic Waldorf kindergarten experience. Parent and teacher will engage in work and craft projects and parents will learn about Waldorf early childhood philosophy and methods. Children will explore the kindergarten classroom and all its beautiful and imaginative playthings, sing songs, engage in age-appropriate activities, and experience a Waldorf-style puppet story. Parents will also work on a craft together to complete by the end of the session.

Festivals

Festivals are times to celebrate the seasons and the rhythm of the year. As nature goes through its cycle of birth, growth, harvest, and sleep to ready for renewal once again, so do we as we celebrate the special gifts of each season.

Glacier Waldorf School celebrates the following school-wide festivals that are usually open to the community:

  • Michaelmas in September
  • Halloween in October
  • Spiral of Light in December
  • Candlemas in February
  • Spring Equinox in March
  • May Fest in May

We also celebrate with our very fun Annual Summer Glacier Park Family Campout in August.
